India began administering the booster dose or as the govt calls it – the ‘precaution dose’ to health workers, frontline workers and senior citizens with co-morbidities from January 10. Across the country, the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine was administered to health and frontline workers who had received their second dose of the vaccine by March 2021. As per vaccination data, over one crore people are eligible to get the third dose of the vaccine.
