Indian economy estimated to contract 7.7% in 2020-21, as per government data | Business – Times of India Videos

The Indian economy is estimated to contract to 7.7% in 2020-21. This is compared to 4.2% growth in the previous fiscal year. The difference is mainly on account of the Convid019 pandemic’s impact. There was a contraction in almost all sectors with the exception of agriculture. This is as per the first advance estimates of the national income released by the National Statistical Office (NSO) on Thursday.
