IndiGo plane bound for Phuket forced to return to Delhi due to hydraulic system failure – Times of India

NEW DELHI: An IndiGo flight heading to Phuket, Thailand was forced to return to Delhi due to a hydraulic system failure on Tuesday morning.
The A320 neo plane, carrying the flight number 6E-1763, took off at around 6:25 AM and returned to the airport at around 7:20 AM. The aircraft landed safely at Delhi airport, according to airport sources. A senior DGCA official said the A320 neo aircraft VT-ILM operating flight 6E-1763 was involved in air turnback due to loss of hydraulic green system.
In a statement, IndiGo confirmed the incident and said that an alternate aircraft was being provided for the flight to Phuket. “The aircraft returned back to Delhi for necessary maintenance. An alternate aircraft is being provided to the passengers for the flight to Phuket,” it said.
Details about the number of passengers could not be immediately ascertained.
The DGCA official said that during the flight, the hydraulic green reservoir low level, system low pressure and pump low pressure warning got triggered.
