iphone: Apple is adding this new camera feature to the iPhone 13 Pro – Times of India

Apple has rolled out the third beta of iOS 15.1 for the developers and the update has reportedly added new camera features that the company promised. According to a report by 9to5Mac, the software update allows users to record video with Apple’s ProRes codec. The report further suggests that users have also gained access to the toggle that controls automatic macro mode.
With the current version of iOS 15, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max automatically switch from the main camera to the ultrawide camera when you move close to any object, enabling macro mode. Users don’t have any control over this switch and many have also reported that the change also makes a jarring animation in the camera app. The company said it earlier that it will add a toggle to turn it off, now that it has arrived in the new beta update, few users on Reddit have reported of getting similar results after turning off the automatic macro mode and even after manually switching to ultrawide camera.
It is expected that the bug will be resolved when the company will officially release the final build. Apple recently released the iOS 15.0.1 update for iPhone models launched after 2015 and above iPhone 6S. The update fixed a bug that was hampering the Unlock with Apple Watch feature in iPhone 13 series. The update also fixed bugs where the Settings app displayed incorrect warning messages about the storage and Audio meditations unexpectedly started a workout in Apple Watch for some Fitness+ subscribers.
The company also said that it is planning a fix for a Core Animation bug that is preventing few developers from taking full advantage of 120Hz ProMotion displays for their app animations. It is likely that this issue is also solved in the new beta of iOS 15.1. First unveiled at WWDC in June, iOS 15 introduced some notable features like redesigned Safari browser, SharPlay, Focus Mode, Live Text, Virtual Look up and many others.
