NEW DELHI: The 13th edition of the Indian Premier league is halfway through and the race for the place in the Playoffs has intensified with teams going out all guns blazing to secure the top slots.
It was another exciting week full of action as the world saw some scintillating moments on-the-field. For players, at the individual level as well there were some incredible performances.

TimesofIndia.com for the second consecutive week conducted a poll on the site and on Twitter, asking the fans to vote for the most fascinating performance in the week gone by — October 8 to 14.
The top performers in the poll included Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli, Delhi Capitals opener Shikhar Dhawan, Rajasthan Royals pace sensation Jofra Archer and RCB all-rounder Chris Morris.
With 46.4 and 32 percent votes on Twitter and on the site respectively, RCB skipper Virat Kohli was the clear winner among the top performers last week. Kohli, in the period of consideration scored 123 runs in 2 games that also included a swashbuckling unbeaten 90 off 52 balls against Chennai Super Kings.
In both the matches against CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders, skipper Kohli also marshalled his troops very well, taking them to victories in both the games.
Closely following Virat Kohli in the poll was the Royals’ speedster Jofra Archer. The Englishman got 30 percent votes on the TOI website alongwith a 27.3 percent share on Twitter.
In the 3 games that Archer played last week, the speed merchant took 3 wickets each in the two encounters against Delhi Capitals while returning figures of 1/25 against Sunrisers.
RCB all-rounder Chris Morris was third on the list on the basis of number of votes. While Morris accumulated 18 percent of votes on Twitter, he also got 28 percent of the vote share on the TOI website.
Morris returned from injury in style in the match against CSK, where he grabbed 3 crucial wickets and bowled economically to swing the match in favour of his side. In the following match against KKR, Morris was once again economical and picked up two wickets to end the week with 5 scalps.
Returning to form after a few par outings, DC opener Shikhar Dhawan scored a total of 131 runs in the last week that also included two half-centuries. In the three matches that his side played last week, his side emerged victorious on two occasions and currently sit at the top of the table.
With 10% votes on the TOI website and 8.2% vote share on Twitter, Dhawan was fourth on the list, based on votes, for the top performers in the last week of IPL.
