Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29, 2020 due to cancer. The actor left a huge void not just for his family but also for the industry because one rarely sees actors like him. Fans on social media continue to remember the actor and talk about many of his performances. But, people will now get to see the actor on the big screen for one last time.
His last film, ‘The Song Of Scorpion’ is set to release on April 28, which will mark the third death anniversary of Irrfan. The film is produced by Zeeshan Ahmad who says, “It is my honour that my name has been associated with this film as a co-producer and one of the presenter of the film. We are glad that Irrfan Khan’s last onscreen appearance in a film is soon going to be released in cinemas across the country and his fans will get to see him one last time on the big screen. Trust me, Irrfan’s character and performance in the film is going to leave you spellbound.”

Irrfan’s character in the film is that of a camel trader who falls in love with Nooran. She’s a tribal woman who is independent and learning the ancient healing art of scorpion-singing from her grandmother. According to a popular myth, if a scorpion bites someone, they will die unless a scorpion-singer sings her song and cures the person.
‘The Song Of The Scorpions’ was premiered at Switzerland’s Locarno Film Festival. It also stars Waheeda Rehman and Shashank Arora in important roles. The film is directed by Anup Singh. The trailer will be out tomorrow.
