Ishaan Khatter to undergo intense training for Dhyan Chand biopic, shoot likely to begin by the end of 2022 – Times of India

Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter is all set to surprise the audience with an all-new look for his upcoming project helmed by Ronnie Screwvala. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film will be a biopic on hockey legend Dhyan Chand.

Reportedly, Ishaan will hit the shooting floors in November or December 2022 for film. While the exact dates are yet to finailsed by the film team, Pinkvilla reported that Ishaan will be undergoing an impressive transformation ahead of the shooting schedule.

Touted to be an intense prep, the actor will take a couple of months to shape himself for the role of the Hockey champ. Here’s a look at his gym session:

Meanwhile, the production team is currently working on the final script.

Notably, the Dhyan Chand biopic won’t be Ishaan’s first collaboration with Abhishek Chaubey. Earlier, the actor had assisted the filmmaker with his film ‘Udta Punjab’ starring Ishaan’s brother-actor Shahid Kapoor in the lead.

Announcing the project, film producer Ronnie Screwvala had tweeted in 2020, “1500+ goals, 3 Olympic gold medals, and a story of India’s pride. It gives us immense pleasure to announce our next with #AbhishekChaubey – a biopic on the Hockey Wizard of India- #DHYANCHAND.”

Apart from this, Ishaan is also keeping himself busy with a slew of films lined up in his pipeline. This includes horror-comedy ‘Phone Bhoot’, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi.

He also has ‘Pippa’ where he will be seen sharing the screenspace with Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli.
