The Jammu and Kashmir administration is upgrading healthcare facilities in many areas of the Pulwama district. In this regard, a new type of medical aid centre is being constructed at Murran village in Pulwama. Rural Development Department is constructing this medical aid centre at a cost of 51 Lakhs and it will be completed by next year. Earlier, these villagers had to face many problems due to a lack of medical care facilities as they had to shift their patients to Pulwama’s district hospital or Srinagar. The construction of this medical aid centre has been the latest addition to the array of new initiatives by the Union Territory’s government for the welfare of the people. The medical aid centre will provide basic and emergency services like Electrocardiogram (ECG), Blood Sugar tests.
