Liger first review ruffles feathers: Vijay Deverakonda stole the show, story and screenplay is average writes reviewer – Times of India

Puri Jagannadh’s Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer Liger is all set to hit screens this Thursday.

The film’s first review is out from UAE with overseas censor board member giving the film a three star rating. He wrote, “#Liger is Citii Maar Mass Entertainer. #VijayDeverakonda is One Man Show. He Stole the Show all the way. Terrific Action Stunts & Direction. #RamyaKrishnan is Surprise Package. Story & Screenplay is Average. (sic)” Fans and movie buffs were taken aback to see an average verdict, wondering if the film is actually good or bad.

However, netizens also took to social media to remind that Umair had taken a picture of Vijay out of context and blasted the actor on social media for being ‘ghamandi’. He had written, “Media should Boycott #VijayDeverakonda & #Liger of his Ghamandi Atitude !! He always put feet on the table during press conference. I heard many stories of his atitude. Tameez Naam Ki Koi Cheez Nahi. Bloody Hell of his Cool Swag. (sic)” adding, “Shame & Shame on you #VijayDeverakonda ! Look at his Atitude !! Always feet on the table. Bhai ?? Tum Ho Kon ? Kitni Blockbuster di Hain ??? Ghamandi Cheap Actor. #BoycottLiger !! (sic)”

Fans took to the comment section to defend Vijay, calling the review ‘fake’. Only time will tell if Liger, which also sees Mike Tyson and Ramya Krishnan in key roles, will leave a mark. Liger, which hits screens across the country on August 25, with US premiers on August 24, sees Vijay as a chai-wala-turned-MMA-fighter. The actor underwent a makeover for the role, building his body to suit the role. It will mark his debut in Bollywood and Ananya’s debut down south. The film’s team seemed confident ofits success while promoting it across the country.
