macos monterey: Apple to release macOS Monterey on October 25 – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Apple released the first beta for macOS Monterey in July this year. After months of public beta testing, the company is now all set to launch the official stable version of the OS. Apple has announced that it will officially roll out macOS Monterey on October 25.
macOS Monterey comes with the same design as the macOS Big Sur. However, the new version of the OS comes with various enhancements across the system. macOS Monterey comprises a completely redesigned Safari, Shortcuts for the Mac, Quick Note, and Universal Control.
Apart from this, the operating system also includes some of the new features of iOS and iPadOS 15 such as Live Text, SharePlay, Focus Modes and others. The FaceTime feature on the macOS Monterey now includes audio and video features that make calls feel more natural and lifelike. With spatial audio, voices in a FaceTime call sound like they are coming from where the person is positioned on the screen. Then there’s the Voice Isolation feature that ensures the user’s voice is crystal clear and uses machine learning to eliminate background noise.
The all-new macOS Monterey is compatible with all the same Macs that run macOS Big Sur. The company has revealed that the new version of the OS will not be compatible with some of the older models of MacBook Air and iMac.
Apple recently launched the all-new MacBook Pro lineup. The new laptops come powered by M1 Pro and M1 Max – the new chipset designed for Mac. The New MacBook Pro laptop comes with many new features like Liquid Retina XDR display, a new range of ports for advanced connectivity and a 1080p FaceTime HD camera. With the new Mac laptops, Apple has reintroduced MagSafe 3 charging.
