An earthen dam which was built on the Karam river between Bharudpura and Kothida in the Dhar district, reported leakage of water. A video of the dam has been widely spread over the internet. Reportedly, spilling water washed away a significant amount of debris on one side of the dam. A wall of the earthen dam also fell in a significant portion causing threat to nearby villages. The administration is now planning to save the villages from any mishap. The authorities are emptying the adjacent villages and National Highway-3, between Agra and Mumbai would also be shut down in view of the situation.
