Naga Chaitanya drops hints about how Aamir Khan and ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ team adapted ‘Forrest Gump’ for the Indian audience – Times of India

South star Naga Chaitanya will soon be making his Bollywood debut in Aamir Khan‘s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha‘. While the film is said to be a remake of Tom Hanks’ Oscar-winning film ‘Forrest Gump‘, Naga’s latest statement prove otherwise.

In his latest interview with an entertainment portal, the actor explained what intrigued him about the film. Admitting that he is very excited for his fans to watch the film, he revealed that the makers have adapted the film’s plot to match Indian culture and Indian sensibilities. He also said that the team has covered some “really important events” in our timeline.

Naga will be seen playing a prominent role in the upcoming film that also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan. The actor previously revealed that all it took was a phone call from Aamir to convince him to come on board for the film. He also revealed that Aamir was impressed by his performances in films and offered him one of the key roles of Bala in the upcoming remake.

After several delays, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, directed by Advait Chandan will finally release on April 14.
