Neha Dhupia opens up about her friend and tennis star Sania Mirza announcing her retirement from the sport, says ‘You never lose your star players’ – Times of India

Neha Dhupia recently opened up about her friend and tennis star Sania Mirza announcing her retirement from the sport. The actress added that she had a lump in her heart when she heard about her decision.

Spilling some beans on the same, Neha stated that you never lose your star players. According to her, the biggest contribution Sania has made to Indian tennis and somebody who won Grand Slams, is also especially for women’s tennis and women in international sports. We cannot restrict her accolades to just tennis, she has inspired one too many, Neha told a news portal in an interview.

Elaborating further, the actress added that Sania has inspired them in so many ways, and she is so proud to be her friend. Neha said that even at a personal level, she has seen so much she gets inspired by. Although they don’t get to meet that often due to the pandemic, they had their first babies at the same time, Mehr and Izhaan. Neha revealed that they were talking to each other through it. According to her, Sania has been a great athlete and a wonderful mom and she is happy that they have her in their life.

Neha also went on to say that the decision which Sania has taken is best suited for what she is going through right now. According to her, she will never make any faulty choices.
