Oppo A53s 5G smartphone to launch in India on April 27, to be priced under Rs 15,000 – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Oppo is all set to launch another budget 5G smartphone in India. The company has confirmed that it will launch the Oppo A53s 5G smartphone in the country on April 27.
Apart from the launch date, Oppo has also confirmed that the smartphone will be priced under Rs 15,000. This means that the Oppo A53s 5G will be cheaper than the recently launched Oppo A74 5G smartphone of the company.
Oppo has also confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. This is the same processor which Realme has used in its recently launched Realme 8 5G. The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will be available online on Flipkart.
The teaser image of the phone shared by Oppo reveals that the handset will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and triple rear camera.
Rumours suggest that Oppo A53s is the rebranded version of the Oppo A55 smartphone which the company launched in China recently.
Oppo A53s 5G expected specifications
The Oppo A53s 5G is said to come with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution. The smartphone is expected to run Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own ColorOS 11 layer of customisation.
The Oppo A53s 5G smartphone is said to offer dual SIM functionality and it comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It is expected to offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The Oppo A53s 5G is said to sport a triple rear camera setup with 13MP main sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP portrait camera with f/2.4 aperture. The device is also expected to come with an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
The Oppo A53s 5G is expected to be backed by a 5000 mAh battery.
