The well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has dropped a new leak that suggests that Oppo will be the first smartphone brand to launch Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 7 Gen 1- powered smartphone.
The report suggests that the Oppo smartphone will carry the model number PGAM10. Based on a report in Gizmochina, the PGAM10 is most likely the Oppo Reno 8 smartphone which will succeed the ongoing Reno 7 series.
Leaks and rumours about both Reno 9 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 have surfaced online revealing a couple of key specifications about them.
For starters, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will be placed below the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the flagship chipset from the company. Along with that, the chipset is expected to offer slightly de-tuned performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Digital Chat Station has also noted in its leak that the Reno 8 will feature a 6.55-inch OLED display with 2400×1800 resolution with 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and it is speculated to be backed by a 4500mAh battery with SuperVOOC fast charging support.
In terms of camera, the smartphone is expected to come with a 32MP front camera sensor and a 50MP primary sensor.
The tipster has also mentioned that the Reno 8 might come equipped with the company’s MariSiliconX, a custom image processor. The image processor was first introduced in Oppo Find X5 Pro.
