Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 18 unveiled ‘SPRINT’ (Supporting Pole-Vaulting in R&D through iDEX, NIIO & TDAC), a collaborative defence project of NIIO and DIO in New Delhi. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh accompanied the Prime Minister. The seminar was organised at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in National Capital. “’Aatmanirbharta’ in defence is very crucial for the India of 21st century. There is a huge importance of Joint exercises in the military. The motive of the joint exercise is to provide ample exposure to all the participants. We will create 75 indigenous techs for Navy by Aug 15 next year is the first step,” said the Prime Minister.
