NEW DELHI: The Indian government on Monday was decided that Union ministers Hardeep Singh Puri, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kiren Rijiju and Gen (retd) VK Singh will be travelling to neighbouring countries of Ukraine to coordinate the evacuation of Indian stranded in crisis-torn Ukraine. While Scindia will look at Romania and Moldova, Rijiju will go to Slovakia, Puri will go to Hungary and Gen (retd) Singh will be at Poland to manage the evacuation.
The decision comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday chaired a high-level meeting to review the ongoing evacuation process.
Puri, Scindia, Rijiju, and Gen (retd) Singh, deputed by the government to oversee the evacuation process, will be travelling to neighboring countries of Ukraine as special envoys of India.
PM Modi reviewed the progress of evacuations of Indians from these neighbouring countries, on Sunday evening as well .
