Sources close to Mumbai police revealed to ETimes that in his statement to the police officers, Ranveer maintained that he had not uploaded the controversial photos. Furthermore, also said the he didn’t realise that photoshoot would create trouble for him.
The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor had been summoned by the cops last week, but he had written to the authorities, seeking more time, since he was busy with his professional commitments and was away from the city. But the actor, finally made time and appeared at the police station on Monday morning. ETimes had spoken to photographer Ashish Shah who had shot Ranveer’s nude photos.
A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against Singh at Chembur police station here last month on the basis of a complaint filed by an office-bearer of a non-governmental organisation (NGO). This happened after Ranveer posed nude for an international magazine named Paper. Social media influencers associated this bold photoshoot as a homage to Hollywood icon Burt Reynolds, who has posed in the buff in a similar pose as Ranveer.
ETimes had previously brought you reactions from ace B-town photographers, who assessed Ranveer’s brave chocie to bare it all. Read that story here:
