Rumours be damned, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are happy together – Times of India

Sixteen years of marriage and still going strong. They’ve seen their ups and downs. But Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan remain steadfast in their goal of bringing up their daughter Aaradhya as the best parents possible.

Abhishek and Aishwarya married in 2007 and their honeymoon has not ended. The presence of their daughter Aaradhya has only heightened their mutual love. They continue to have only eyes for one another.

Abhishek says, “I think she’s the most beautiful woman on earth. Our lives will remain as normal as we want it to be.” Also, in a past interaction Abhishek had revealed, “We are as normal as we want to be. We do go out for normal dinners like any other couple. People don’t trouble us. They leave us alone.”

In a past interview Aishwarya corroborated the couple’s collaborative quotient and said, “Marriage is such a unique and beautiful experience in my life. I’ve found a wonderful new family. My maiden family and this family together provides me with more than enough happiness and security. What more could I ask for? When I went back on the sets after marriage there was no change at all. There has been a normal flow before and after marriage. Everyone wants to know how marriage has changed my life. Nothing has changed at all! Life has been one smooth flow. And though I didn’t plan such a marriage I wouldn’t want it any other way. It has been wonderful on both the personal and professional front. I remember when I got engaged and went back on the sets of Jodhaa-Akbar in Karjat nobody paid any attention. They thought it was just another rumour.”

There are high-profile marriages out there which could crumble under the weight of all the pretension that they have put up with. Not Abhishek and Aishwarya. As a couple and as individuals Abhishek and Aishwarya are gracious souls, always attentive and considerate.
