Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma gets her first vaccine shot over a month after testing Covid-19 positive – Times of India

Arpita Khan Sharma, the sister of Bollywood Salman Khan, announced on Saturday that she took her first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Sharing a photo of herself getting the injection at a vaccination booth, she wrote in the caption, “We are not only responsible for our own safety but also for the safety of people around us, our families, our friends, our neighbours & every human we come in contact with.”

Urging fans and social media followers to also get their shot, she said, “Get vaccinated! Be Safe, Be Positive, Be Strong.”

This update comes a little over a month after Arpita tested positive for Covid-19. News about her contracting the virus went viral when Salman revealed in a ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ press conference that his sister had tested positive. Shortly after the news spread, Arpita issued a clarification about her recovery status.

She shared, “I tested positive for Covid-19 at the beginning of the month April 2021 however I was asymptomatic. I followed all the guidelines and protocols and thankfully with the grace of God, I have fully recovered and have been well since. Stay Safe. Stay Strong. Stay Positive.”
