Sanjay Dutt looks all things menacing as Adheera in new ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ poster; birthday boy assures fans film will be “worth the wait” – Times of India

On the occasion of Sanjay Dutt‘s birthday today, the actor treated fans to a menacing new poster of his character Adheera from the upcoming film ‘KGF: Chapter 2′.

Armed with a double-edged sword in hand the new poster sees the star ready for action as he leads his men into battle. Sharing the poster, he thanked his fans for the love and kind wishes they have been sending his way.

Opening up about the film, and its delayed release owing to the pandemic, he said, “Working on #KGFChapter2 has been amazing. I know you all have been waiting for the film’s release for a long time and I assure you that it’ll be worth the wait!”

With this, Sanjay launched his third poster from the film on three consecutive birthdays. Back in 2019, he teased fans with a black and white poster and captioned it saying, “Thank you @thenameisYash. Truly happy and excited to be a part of #KGF as #Adheera. See u soon Monster!!!”

On his 61st birthday, he followed it up with a closer look at his villainous character and said, “It’s been a pleasure working on this film and I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift.” He also sent out a shout out to his fans in the post that read, “Special thanks to all my fans who have always showered me with their love and support!”

Speaking to news agency PTI, Dutt compared his character in the series to Josh Brolin‘s Thanos in the ‘Avengers’ franchise. He said, “Adheera is very powerful. If you have seen Avengers, you would know Thanos. So Adheera is like him. He is a very dangerous character with a dangerous get-up. And that’s the zone I was looking for.”

While ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ was slated to release in October 2020, it was delayed owing to the lockdown. A trailer was set to drop on lead actor Yash‘s birthday early this year, however, owing to the loss of lives due to the covid-19 pandemic, the team decided to postpone the trailer release to a “happier day”.
