Sara Ali Khan doesn’t echo Janhvi Kapoor’s statement about not getting respect – Times of India

Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan are one of the most known BFF’s in Bollywood. While they also travel together sometimes, the actresses had appeared together on ‘Koffee With Karan 7’. Interestingly, they also made their debuts in the same year. A while ago, Janhvi had said in an interview that while she has got a lot of opportunities, she is yet to get respect from people for her performances. Janhvi had told Barkha Dutt as a part of ‘We The Women’ that she wants to earn respect in her own eyes and it takes a lot to build perception and then break it.
But in a new interview, Sara didn’t echo Janhvi’s sentiments. If people accept Sara the way she is, that’s the biggest sign of respect and she got that very early on in her career, said the actress in an interview with Siddharth Kanan. She further added that whether it’s ‘Kedarnath’ or ‘Atrangi Re’, she has read the reviews and respect hasn’t really been a problem for Sara.

On work front, Sara will be seen next in ‘Gaslight’ with Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh. The film will release on OTT. The trailer has been launched recently and it is a murder mystery. Sara plays a specially-abled girl in the movie. Her last film ‘Atrangi Re’ had also released on OTT and she got a lot of accolades for her performance in this Anand L Rai film.
Apart from ‘Gaslight’, the actress will be seen in Laxman Utekar’s next with Vicky Kaushal.
