Shah Rukh Khan talks in Tamil at Jawan event; gets called a ‘Tamil Star’ – WATCH | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Bollywood’s Badshah Shah Rukh Khan earned a new title of ‘Tamil Star’ while he attended the Jawan event in Chennai.
The actor, who was accompanied by director Atlee his co-star Vijay Sethupathi, added the glitz and glam to the star-studded event as he performed several songs from the flick to entertain his audience.

At the event, the superstar expressed his joy and love for the people of Tamil Nadu and its film industry and food.

He quipped, “Eating here in Tamil Nadu was fantastic, I lost my six packs and gained them back.”
During a Twitter chat with fans, the actor revealed that he tried speaking in Tamil while on the film sets. At the event, he said, “If I have to praise Atlee in Tamil, I have to say maranamass Atlee, thank you, so much.”
For Vijay, Shah Rukh Khan had nothing but praise. “I will take a moment and tell you how much I love Vijay sir. I met him in Melbourne. I heard him talking in Tamil; I assume it was about that instance. And one day we were here, for Nayanthara ji’s wedding, and I finally met him. Then we all decided to work together. I cannot tell you how much I have learned from you,” he stated.

During the event, lyricist Vivek went down memory lane and dubbed the superstars as a ‘Tamil Star’. Taking to the stage, he said, “He is a great character and put out an even greater message to the whole country, that Tamil actor‘s name is Shah Rukh Khan and that legendary movie was ‘Hey Ram’.” He went on to deliver an empowering dialogue from the film that you can watch in the video below:

The event also hosted Vijay Sethupathi along with Atlee and Anirudh Ravichander, who serves as the composer of the film.
Shah Rukh will fly to Dubai today to attend the ‘Jawan’ trailer launch event. The clip will reportedly drop later today, August 31 at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
The film is all set to hit the theatres on September 7.
