Suriya’s ‘Jai Bhim’ has been officially selected for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has announced that the 53rd International Film Festival of India will be held in Goa. 45 films are to be screened and honored at the film festival, and this includes 20 non-feature and 25 feature films. Suriya’s ‘Jai Bhim’, and two other Tamil films ‘Kida’ and ‘Kurangu Pedal’ have also been selected from Tamil. Following the success of the National Award-winning ‘Soorarai Pottru’, ‘Jai Bhim’ has also been getting further recognition as it continues to garner various awards. Fans of actor Suriya turned happy with the film’s success, and are congratulating the actor and his team on their social media pages. Directed by debutant TJ Gnanvel, ‘Jai Bhim’ features Manikandan and Lijimol Jose in lead roles, while Suriya played an important role as a lawyer. The film’s story is based on the real-life journey of Justice Chandru and an unforgettable case faced by him. Suriya reprised the role of Justice Chandru in the film, and the talented actor nailed it with his solid performance.
