Sushant Singh Rajput case: Enforcement Directorate summons house manager Samuel Miranda for the second time – Times of India

Samuel Miranda, the house manager of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was summoned for the second time by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning at the agency’s Mumbai office, it was reported by Times Now.

Miranda is said to be the third person to be questioned by the financial probe agency in connection with the Bollywood actor’s alleged suicide.

News agency IANS said that The ED on Tuesday grilled Ritesh Shah, the CA of Rhea Chakraborty and on Monday, questioned Sushant’s CA Sandeep Sridhar.

The ED had on Friday registered a money laundering case against Rhea and her family members. The case pertains to “suspicious transactions” worth Rs 15 crore in connection with the death of Sushant, as mentioned in KK Singh’s FIR to the Patna Police.

Sushant’s father accused Rhea and six others of ‘abetment to suicide’, ‘fraud’, ‘theft’ among other charges.

The ED named Rhea and her family members in the case on the basis of an FIR filed by the Bihar Police. The official said that the agency will summon a number of people for questioning in connection with the case in the coming days.

On Wednesday, The ED announced that they have summoned Rhea for questioning on August 7. According to reports, the actress will be questioned and her statement recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The ED will allegedly quiz her on purchases of two high-value properties in Mumbai while taking into account her income over the past year.

The ED has also sought details of the financial transactions of the firm – Vividrage Rhealityx, in which Rhea is a director, and Front India For World, in which her brother Showik Chakraborty is a director.

A while back it was reported that the Mumbai police was to grill the actress on these financial aspects, citing that although the companies were opened as joint ventures, Sushant was allegedly the sole investor. However, there has been no confirmation about the same till date.

Sushant was found dead at his Mumbai apartment on June 14. Autopsy reports ruled out foul play in his death, but the Mumbai Police and Bihar Police have been carrying out separate investigations in the case while the latest reports indicate that the Centre has accepted the Bihar Government’s plea for a CBI investigation into the matter. However, it remains to be seen if the central body will begin their investigations or wait until next week’s Supreme Court hearing to formally pursue the case.
