The affidavit stated, “At the outset, it is submitted that the application filed by the applicant is devoid of any merits and therefore deserves to be rejected.”
The Narcotics Control Bureau had questioned Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Singh and Shraddha Kapoor. All four actresses denied substance abuse in their statements to the investigating agency. On the other hand, Kshitij Prasad, who was briefly associated with a production house, has also been arrested by the NCB. As the NCB continues to probe the drug-link in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty continues to stay in judicial custody. The hearing of Rhea and Showik Chakraborty’s bail plea was deferred by the Bombay High Court till September 29.
