Sushant Singh Rajput case: Was Rhea Chakraborty ‘in touch’ with Mumbai top cop? – Times of India

A day after Sushant Sing Rajput’s call records were made public in a Times Now exclusive, the channel has now released Rhea Chakraborty’s call details.

According to the report, the was allegedly “in touch” with a senior Mumbai Police officer. The channel claims that access to her CDR indicted that she spoke to Bandra DCP Abhishek Trimukhe. A total of 4 calls and 1 SMS was allegedly exchanged between the two.

However, the content and the time of these calls and message exchanges were not revealed.

Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey claimed on August 5 that Rhea was absconding. “We do not have any information regarding she being in touch with even the Mumbai Police,” the cop had claimed.

Meanwhile, Rhea’s council has rubbished the claims made by the Bihar police and insisted that “She’s cooperated with police as and when called.”

These reports come amidst Sushant Singh Rajput’s family’s lawyer making stark allegations that the Mumbai Police was “buying time to ensure evidence is destroyed.”

While the CBI is reportedly getting ready to investigate the matter, the Supreme Court is expected to hear Rhea’s plea seeking transfer of the FIR from the Bihar Police to the Mumbai Police, next week.
