Star couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas took everyone by surprise with the news of their first child. The couple recently welcomed a baby via surrogacy and reportedly, it’s a baby girl!

Interestingly, not long ago the actress opened up about raising a daughter while promoting her recently concluded film ‘The Matrix Resurrection’. The video of the same, which is currently going viral features the new mom talking on the lines of women empowerment when she said, “…because I would love for my daughter or my children or our kids in the next generation not to inherit the glass ceilings that were set for us.”

The subtle mention of ‘my daughter’ is making netizens wonder if PeeCee already knew that she was expecting a daughter. A user commented in the post, “Oh wow lol the way it slipped ‘my daughter’ instead of my child.” “She knew at that time her baby girl was coming soon” added another one while others showered Nick-Priyanka with best wishes.

Earlier, a report had suggested that lovebirds Priyanka and Nick have mostly been blessed with a baby girl who was born 12 weeks early at a Southern California hospital, in LA.

Meanwhile, Priyanka and Nick have currently requested privacy after announcing the news of their child. “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much (red heart emoji)” read their joint statement on social media.

On the work front, Priyanka will be next seen in Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming directorial ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. In the film, she will be sharing the screenspace with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
