The feature is available with version 2.21.80 of the instant messaging app. And is available for both Android and iOS users. The change is small though, but can come handy for some WhatsApp users.
In related news, the Facebook-owned messaging platform has reportedly started rolling out support for different playback speeds for voice messages to its Android beta users. The feature was first spotted by WABetaInfo, the website that tracks the latest features on the app, in March in the Android beta version 2.21.60.11. Now, with the rollout of WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.9.4, the feature is now being made available.
