WhatsApp chats now show bigger photos and videos – Times of India

WhatsApp has rolled out a new update for its users that offers a bigger view of photos and videos in chats. This means that that media — received or sent — will appear in a slightly bigger format.
The information was shared by WhatsApp itself via a post on Twitter. “Photos and videos in WhatsApp are now even bigger, so no one will be left out of the picture! That’s the perfect reason to smile,” reads the WhatsApp post on Twitter.

The feature is available with version 2.21.80 of the instant messaging app. And is available for both Android and iOS users. The change is small though, but can come handy for some WhatsApp users.
In related news, the Facebook-owned messaging platform has reportedly started rolling out support for different playback speeds for voice messages to its Android beta users. The feature was first spotted by WABetaInfo, the website that tracks the latest features on the app, in March in the Android beta version 2.21.60.11. Now, with the rollout of WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.9.4, the feature is now being made available. With this feature, besides being able to play audio messages at standard 1X speed, users will be able to play audio files at 1.5X or 2X speeds.
