We’re still hungover on Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif ki ‘shaadi’. And, we’re assuming, so are you. The star couple tied the knot on December 9 in a lavish affair at the Six Senses Fort Barwara, in Sawai Madhopur district in Rajasthan in the presence of their close friends and family. As we wait for more pictures and videos to make its way to social media, we’re now hearing reports that Katrina Kaif, who is half British and Half Indian, may change her name to Katrina Kaif Kaushal after adopting her husband’s surname. Wow! Katrina Kaif Kaushal, sure has a nice ring to it. But so far, we’re not certain if this will happen soon, or, if she will even follow this traditional route or ditch it and stick to the modern trend and keep her maiden name and make no changes. For the timebeing, everyone is curious if Katrina will change her name for the credits and posters of her film ‘Tiger 3′ which also stars superstar Salman Khan. Apparently, her friends have already accepted the actress’ new initials ‘KKK’ since sometime now, which brings us to the question, will the actress be credited as Katrina Kaif Kaushal in her first release post wedding? Only time will tell, but in the past, many A-list actresses have done the same, and instead of dropping their maiden name completely, they decided to add their husband’s surname to their name. Take global icon Priyanka Chopra for instance. After tying the knot with Nick Jonas, she was more than happy to incorporate ‘Jonas’ to her social media handles and she did so because she wanted to ‘honour’ her traditions. Sonam Kapoor, too, did the same after marrying her husband, Anand Ahuja. Now she goes by the name Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. Most recently, Yami Gautam, who got hitched with ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ director Aditya Dhar changed her name on social media to Yami Gautam Dhar. Meanwhile, coming back to the newlywed couple, on Friday morning, they were papped taking a helicopter charter from Sawai Madhopur to Jaipur airport. They are expected to reach their new marital abode, a swanky apartment in an ultra-luxurious eight-storey building located near Juhu Beach by midnight on Friday. The new bride will have her ‘grihapravesh’ at the new apartment in the presence of families from both sides.
