NEW DELHI: It appears that Xiaomi is all set to launch the successor of its Mi Band 5 soon. Likely to be called Mi Band 6, the fitness tracker has already received certifications in India and Indonesia.
Now some new details about the yet to launch a fitness band from Xiaomi have surfaced online.
As reported by Gizmochina, the Mi Band 6 will sport a similar design and display to the Mi Band 5. The image leaked also shows a charging cable which reveals that the device will come with magnetic charging support.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 will come in two variants– one with NFC (for China) and the other with no NFC (for the global market). The fitness tracker is said to come with a built-in GPS receiver which will offer better speed and distance management.
The Mi Band 6 will reportedly offer 12 new workout modes which will include Zumba, stepper, pilates and more. The wearable will feature a SpO2 monitor which will monitor the blood oxygen level.
The device will feature a new system for time management and it will also mute notifications for 25 minutes. The fitness band will also come with support for monitoring sleep data.
The Mi Band 6 will work with the company’s Mi Home app and it will also come with a revamped UI.
Another online leak reveals that the company will launch the Mi Band 6 on 29 March. Xiaomi has scheduled a launch event in China for 29 March, where the company is expected to launch the Mi Band 6, Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Lite smartphones.
