xiaomi: Xiaomi 12 tipped to have anti-glare glass body, triple rear camera setup – Times of India

Earlier this week, Xiaomi confirmed that its upcoming smartphone Xiaomi 12 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Now, a report by Digital Chat Station suggests that the smartphone will sport an anti-glare glass body. The report also reveals that the device will have a triple rear camera setup. It further suggests that the camera module will be positioned on the upper left corner of the rear panel.
As per previous leaks on the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo, the camera setup on the Xiaomi 12 smartphone will consist of a 50MP primary camera customized from Samsung or Sony along with an ultra-wide angle paired with a periscopic and a telephoto lens. At the front, the device is rumoured to come with an under-display camera for selfies and video calls. According to previous reports, the smartphone will come with a 100watt fast charging feature.
Numerous reports suggest that the Xiaomi 12 series may consist of three phones — Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Ultra. As per a previous report by Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi has partnered with camera company Leica for its branding on Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The handset is said to come with a curved 2K display and may offer a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone is said to offer up to 16GB RAM and may have up to 1TB of onboard storage.
Rumours also suggest that the company may offer a Xiaomi 12 Mini smartphone as a part of the lineup. An alleged poster of the device has leaked online. It is tipped to have a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and may offer a refresh rate of 120Hz and 480Hz touch response.
The handset is rumoured to offer 1500 nits peak brightness and it may support HDR10+. Xiaomi 12 Mini may come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 octa-core processor along with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM.
