LNJP Medical Director Dr Suresh Kumar talked about Delta plus variant found across more than 10 states. He gave warning to the nation and advised to everyone to get vaccinated including less than 18 age group before third wave of COVID hits the country. He said, “Delta plus is now seen in more than 10 states and younger patients those who are not vaccinated will get affected by Delta plus variant, which is big concern for all of us. Some of these patients don’t have classical symptoms, and most of them are young. We need more effort to vaccinate most of the population”. On asking about Zydus Cadila vaccine he said, “It is a very good step, many countries have already started vaccination of children between 12-18 age group. India already started research trial and studies are on process. This age group also need to get vaccinated because third wave will affect the same age group. Vaccination 12-18 age group is a good step of Indian scientist and Indian doctors”.
