Aadhaar: G20: Aadhaar, UPI on centre stage – Times of India

KUMARAKOM: The second meeting of the G20 sherpas kicks off on Thursday with India showcasing its digital public infrastructure such as Aadhaar, UPI, Digilocker and other systems for the world to replicate for an inclusive development strategy against the backdrop of the challenges confronting the global economy.
It will also bring together private sector players, from Microsoft and Google to Amazon, TCS, Fractal and Paytm, to showcase their digital public infrastructure created under the public-private partnership model. The priority areas under G20 presidency include DPI, cyber security and digital skilling among other wider issues. A special experience zone has been set up by tech industry lobby group Nasscom and other private sector companies which will highlight Aadhaar, UPI, Digilocker and Diksha.
“With India emerging as a global digital centre, its leadership in building inclusive public technologies has not only empowered the nation but also opened a plethora of related businesses and opportunities,” an official statement said. Focus will also be on shaping the dialogue on finalising a strategy for green development.
