Alia Bhatt to take a year-long maternity break from films: Report – Times of India

Mom-to-be Alia Bhatt has been making glamorous appearances about town, showing off her pregnancy glow and baby bump. The actress is set to welcome her first born with Ranbir Kapoor soon and has wrapped all her professional assignments before embracing motherhood.

And looks like Alia is in no hurry to face the camera after turning a mom. The actress reportedly wants to dedicate a lot of her time to her baby and will take a long break for the same. Alia is planning a year-long maternity leave, reports bollywoodlife. She has wrapped the shoot of her Hollywood debut ‘Heart of Stone’ and has been extensively shooting for Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. Post delivery, Alia will continue to work on her endorsements and assignments which won’t involve long hours. The Kapoor family had recently hosted a low key baby shower for Alia Bhatt.

Ranbir and Alia tied the knot in April this year and in June they announced the news of Alia of being pregnant. ETimes had exclusively reported that Alia will kick start the shoot of Farhan Akhtar helmed ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ by next year. She plays the lead alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in this entertainer.
