‘Apne 2’: Anil Sharma defers April shooting amid rising COVID-19 cases, says Dharmendra’s health is his priority – Times of India

Anil Sharma, who announced ‘Apne 2’, last year with the Deols, recently revealed that they have postponed the shooting of the film in April owing to the rising coronavirus cases in the country.

Spilling some beans on the same, the filmmaker said that they have not even started shooting the film so there is no point in clinging to the scheduled Diwali release. The director added that they were to shoot across Punjab but they are now planning to begin the first schedule in London in July. It will reportedly be a 45-day schedule and then they are expected to return to Punjab and Mumbai.

Elaborating further, Anil also stated that given the current situation, it is favourable that the shootings get postponed. According to him, the theatres will reopen only after a few months so there is no point in completing the film now. The filmmaker also added that the next two weeks are crucial for everybody. He added that releasing the film as per schedule is not important but Dharmendra’s health is.

‘Apne’ will star Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Karan Deol in lead roles.
