Apple fans will now have to pay more for their favourite pair of headphones in India, as the company has quietly increased the prices of its AirPods range in the country. Apple currently sells AirPods 2nd generation, AirPods 3rd generation, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max in the country. The company has hiked the prices of these by up to 10%.
The increased prices can be seen on Apple India’s official website. Among all the audio devices, AirPods Max have received the biggest hike of Rs 6,200. The headphones now cost Rs 66,100. The newly launched 3rd-generation AirPods now cost Rs 20,500 compared to Rs 18,500 launch price. The AirPods Pro are now available at an increased price of Rs 26,300. To recall, the AirPods Pro were priced at Rs 24,900. The previous generation AirPods have also received a 5% hike and now cost 14,100.

It is worth noting that although the prices mentioned above are from Apple India’s official website, the AirPods are still available at discounted prices on Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital and other stores. Apart from the AirPods, no other Apple product has received a price hike in India. The company has not yet made any official statement about the price hike.
Apple is rumoured to launch the second-generation AirPods Pro this year with new design and features. Keeping the current hike in mind, it can be expected that the launch price of the upcoming earbuds may be a bit higher than the current generation AirPods Pro.
