‘Bholaa’ box office collection Day 9: Ajay Devgn starrer sees boost in numbers on second Friday – Times of India

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn’s latest release ‘Bholaa’, saw good growth on its second Friday at the box office. The film that hit the big screen on March 30, saw a boost in collections, thanks to the Good Friday holiday.
The film earned an estimated Rs 3.25 crore nett on day 9, thus taking its collections to an estimated Rs 56.50 crore nett.

According to boxofficeindia.com, all eyes will now be fixed on Saturday’s collections to see if the film will have a successful run at the box office.
The film enjoyed a 30% growth in collections from Thursday’s numbers. If the film can maintain its hold over the box office on Saturday, it could set itself up for an impressive Rs 20 crore nett weekend.

‘Bholaa’ began its box office run with a collection of Rs 10.25 crore. The movie went on to rake in an estimated Rs 53.40 crore by the end of week 1.

The good word of mouth for the film resulted in great footfall in parts of the country.

‘Bholaa’, directed by Ajay Devgn is a remake of the 2019 Tamil film ‘Kaithi’. The film stars Devgn in the titular role alongside Tabu, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, Gajraj Rao and Vineet Kumar.

The film follows an ex-convict who battles criminals while transporting a truck full of poisoned cops to the hospital in exchange for meeting his daughter after ten years of imprisonment.

It remains to be seen if ‘Bholaa’ can beat the Rs 85 crore collection earned by the 2016 film ‘Shivaay’, which was also directed by Ajay Devgn.
