The Hindi version of the film collected almost Rs 1.50 crore nett on Day 20, reports Box Office India. This take the total collection so far to Rs 218.50 crore nett. The collections of the film are expected to get further impacted on Friday due to two major releases – Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer Vikram Vedha and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Ponniyin Selvan: I.
Speaking about the criticism the film has been receiving for its dialogues, director Ayan Mukerji said at a recent press conference, “I have heard stuff like the dialogues did not really work as well, people weren’t 100 per cent convinced about the love story. So, I am hearing it, but I am also waiting for enough time for the film to truly settle.”
He added that he will only begin taking note of the reactions after the film has been released on streaming and satellite. “I don’t want to learn the wrong lessons. There are a lot of people writing about the film and all and I am happy to hear it, but I don’t know if they have a pulse on what is truly working and not working on a film and I think you can go very wrong when you start over listening to everything as well. So I am trying to be sure that the right feedback reaches me so I can learn from that for the future,” he said.
