Singh alleged that undivided Andhra Pradesh served as a “communal laboratory” for Congress to experiment with minority quota by reducing reservations of SC, ST, and OBC communities, which were eventually thwarted by the judiciary.”Ranganath Misra Commission, established during UPA govt, recommended 6% reservations for Muslims and 2% for other minorities within the 27% quota designated for OBCs,” he said.
Singh accused Congress of attempting to introduce backdoor reservations, citing sections of their manifesto aimed at providing opportunities for minorities in various sectors without legal provisions.
“When PM Modi accused Congress of backing minority reservations in their manifesto, they began attacking PM,” he alleged.
According to him, Congress halted reservations for SC and ST communities in Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University.
