Deepika Padukone made a style statement with her ivory designer saree at the closing ceremony of the 75th Cannes Film Festival.

The off-white saree featured a trail and dramatically pleated ruffles. She completed her heavenly outfit with a hand-embroidered bustier made up of pearls and crystals and earrings. The statement collar reportedly featured approximately 1200 pearls and 200 crystals.

In an interview at Cannes, Deepika commented on her duties as a critic and jury. She said, “I think we are all aware of the fact that it is a huge responsibility. But, I think, we have also made a promise to each other yesterday that we are not going to burden ourselves with that responsibility. I think the idea is to remind ourselves of that audience, or of that young child who’s grown up watching movies and been inspired.”

On the work front, the actress is a part of Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathaan’ with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham and ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik Roshan. Apart from this, she is also a part of Nag Ashwin’s untitled next with Prabhas.

Deepika will also be reuniting with her ‘Piku’ co-star Amitabh Bachchan in the official Hindi remake of ‘The Intern’.
