Delhi’s first Armed Forces Preparatory School inaugurated in the Najagfarh area of the National Capital on August 27. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the school and informed that the school offers free education to military aspirants. “Today the first Shaheed Bhagat Singh armed preparatory school started in Delhi. Children who want to join the armed forces didn’t have a formal place where they could be trained. They used to prepare by themselves. Now we have this. Even poorest of poor can come for admission,” said the Chief Minister. “The school is completely free, it’s a residential school. There is a hostel for both boys and girls. It has the best facilities. The competition is tough, 18,000 children applied and around 180 were selected. They are working hard and they will be prepared for uniformed services,” he added.
