Disha Salian’s mother meets Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar to make an important request: Reports | Hindi Movie News – Bollywood – Times of India

Its been over a year and a half since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput but any update related to his unsolved case still makes headlines. According to a report on a news portal, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar met the family of Disha Salian, the celebrity manager who was Sushant’s ex-manager. Disha allegedly committed suicide a week before the mysterious death of the actor. In the meeting, Disha Salian’s mother reportedly requested the officials to ensure that politicians don’t defame her daughter. The report further stated that along with the mayor, members of the state women’s commission were also present during the meeting. Disha’s mother Vasanti Salian submitted a letter to Pednekar, and two members of the State Women’s Commission who were present along with her. There have been multiple theories of both Sushant & Disha’s deaths, some even linking the two incidents and alleging foul play. Though the police have claimed that it was a suicide, the Central Bureau of investigation is still probing the death of the actor. Disha had allegedly jumped off her highrise in Malad on the night of June 8. Numerous people had reportedly demanded a CBI probe into her death as well, one even moving the Supreme Court for it. However, according to past reports, the Mumbai Police closed the investigation last year, asserting that there was no foul play involved in Disha’s death. The Salian family had issued a statement urging people not to spread ‘fake rumours’ around her death just days after the unfortunate event. Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters Priyanka and Meetu had recently joined a protest seeking ‘justice’ for his death. The CBI, in its last statement on SSR’s death anniversary on June 14, had said that they were still investigating the case and that they had not ruled out any angle.
