Farhad Samji admits the pressure of directing megastar like Salman Khan is always there; reveals the actor has gone all out for ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ – Times of India

Farhad Samji, who has directed Salman Khan’s upcoming film, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, spilled the beans on what it is like to be directing a megastar like him.
The filmmaker revealed that Salman Khan’s stardom is so huge that it does play on your mind. His fans are also like a bouncing board. According to him, you have to leave no stone unturned and play all your cards accordingly, because that pressure is there. He also added that the task with ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ was to mount a film that does justice to the stardom of Salman while also staying true to the script.

Elaborating further, Samji added that whenever you direct Salman, you need to be aware that the chair you are sitting on shouldn’t be the director’s chair but the seat of a cinema hall. According to him, Salman is a megastar, but at the end of the day, he is also playing a character in the script and they can’t always try to only do fan service because then the story will go flat. There has to be an amalgamation, where they handle the stardom and be true to the character, Farhad told The Indian Express.

The director concluded by saying that Salman Khan has gone all out for this film and that it is a boon for him, the way he has been there as an actor and a producer.
