Rana was earlier fined 60 percent of his match fees for an incident during KKR’s first home game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Rana’s actions involved giving a flying-kiss send-off to Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Mayank Agarwal.
During Monday’s match, Rana bowled a full-length delivery that dismantled Abhishek Porel’s stumps, displaying his bowling prowess. However, he was about to the give flying-kiss send-off again, but instead he opted for a different gesture, directing his hand towards the dugout.
“Rana committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” IPL said in a statement.
“The player was earlier penalised under the same level and article of the IPL Code of Conduct,” the statement added.
