Havells launches anti-bacterial switch range, price starts at Rs 75 – Times of India

Havells has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of anti-bacterial/anti-fungal switches. Launched under its Crabtree electric switch range, the new range comprises Athena, Signia and Verona switches which are claimed to contain the growth of harmful microbes through human touch with 99.99% accuracy.
The switch range comes at a starting price of Rs 75. “The switch range will act as a catalyst to lead a ‘Healthy life’ for customers by avoiding bacteria led diseases like food poisoning, pneumonia, conjunctivitis, etc,” said the company in a statement.
The latest offering from Havells uses metal compounds that are said to be more effective than metal oxides and other metal complexes. Additionally, the new range of switches are claimed to offer long-lasting usage and non-discoloration under high temperature and humidity.
Havells claims that the product base material for the switches has been approved by FDA, ECHA and EPA. It has also been tested by third-party labs such as JIS and ISO.
