Sourav Ganguly (KKR)
KKR’s icon player was former India captain Sourav Ganguly. Dada led the side with other star players like his Ricky Ponting, Shoaib Akhtar, Brendon McCullum, Chris Gayle and others in the KKR camp. Under his captaincy, KKR started off well in the initial stages but later on derailed off winning ways and ended in 6th position on the points table. Unfortunately, Ganguly didn’t get his hands on the IPL trophy, but KKR won two titles (2012, 2014) under Gautam Gambhir. In 13 matches in 2008, Ganguly scored 349 runs at a SR of 113.68, with a highest score of 91 against KXIP.
