It was a complete team effort as Lucknow chased down a big target of 211 in 19.3 overs against Chennai to register a six-wicket win here at the Brabourne Stadium.
“I think he (Badoni) is a very confident guy. I saw him in the nets,” said Lewis of the youngster, who contributed 19 not out off just nine balls in Lucknow’s six-wicket win, at the post-match presentation ceremony.
Badoni scored a 41-ball 54 in Lucknow’s first match against Gujarat Titans to announce his arrival on the big stage.
The dew made life difficult for CSK on Thursday at the Brabourne Stadium, while Lewis enjoyed stroke-play on a batting-friendly wicket.
“Very good pitch, once you get in you can score freely. I just backed my strengths and ability,” said Lewis. “I just try to keep it simple and want to do the best for the team.
