Is Ranveer Singh playing Shaktimaan in his next? Here’s what we know – Times of India

The powerhouse of talent Ranveer Singh turned 37 today. And while the actor is away on the beaches of Hawaii with wifey Deepika Padukone for his birthday week, here’s some news that will get his fans excited. Buzz is the actor has been approached to play Shaktimaan in the film based on the Indian television’s superhero that was essayed by Mukesh Khanna.

It was recently announced that a film on the 90s’ superhero Shaktimaan will be reimagined as a franchise and the work on the Shaktimaan trilogy has already begun. According to IndiaToday, Ranveer Singh has been offered to play Shaktimaan. The report quotes a source saying that Ranveer has shown a keen interest in playing the superhero Shaktimaan, but he is yet to sign the dotted lines.

On the work front, Ranveer, who was last seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar, is currently working on Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani that also stars Alia Bhatt. He has already wrapped up Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus alongside Pooja Hegde. He also has Simmba 2 in his kitty. Besides he will soon be seen in an interactive special Ranveer Singh vs Wild with Bear Grylls on an OTT platform.

In the trailer of this special, Ranveer Singh could be seen surviving in the wild with adventurer and host Bear Grylls. He could also be seen getting hold of a special flower for Deepika Padukone, as he says, “Pyaar ke liye log chaand taare tod ke laate hain, main Deepika ke liye ek phool tod ke laane waala hoon. Woh bahut special phool hai, woh kabhi marta nahi hai, bilkul meri pyaar ki tarah. (People move mountains for love, I’m going to get a special flower for Deepika. Just like my love, the flower never dies.)”
