Regional Sericulture Research Centre, Central Silk Board of Jammu organised a five-day Farmer Skill Training Programme under Capacity Building and Training at Sericulture Farm, Ghordi in Udhampur district. The main aim of the program is to make sericulture farmers aware of the latest techniques. Skill Training Programme will help farmers to boost their income. Over 25 sericulture farmers especially women from different panchayats of Ghordi block will receive training under the program. Trainees appreciated this program and said that this will help them become independent. Speaking to ANI, a scientist of the Central Silk Board said, “Through the training program, we want to teach new farming techniques to the farmers so that their income increases.”
